Final Year, B.Tech – Metallurgical & Materials Engineering
National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli (NIT–Trichy)
QMIS played a transformative role in shaping my academic journey and guiding me toward pursuing B.Tech at NIT Trichy, an institution ranked 9th in the NIRF. The school not only strengthened my academic foundation but also provided countless opportunities to grow as an individual and refine my personality.
The continuous support and mentorship of my teachers, especially Ms. Sujatha and Mr. Abinath, have been instrumental in helping me become who I am today. Their confidence in me, along with QMIS’s rich learning atmosphere, resources, and value-based education, laid the strongest base for my future. For this, I remain deeply grateful.
During my time at QMIS, I authored a comprehensive book review on 1 Chisel to Shine by Dr. R. Thirunavukkarasu IPS, interacted with renowned ISRO scientist Dr. Venkatraman, and interviewed Padma Bhushan awardee and former ISRO Chairman Dr. K. Kasturirangan. I also served as the Student Sub-Editor of the school magazine YAGNA.
In college, I continued to follow the path QMIS helped pave. I crafted a compelling TEDx presentation for Mr. K. T. Ravindran, famously known as the “Militant Architect,” for TEDx NIT Trichy (IX Edition). As an active member of Toastmasters, I was honoured with the ‘Best Speaker’ award during my Ice Breaker session.
Today, I hold several positions of responsibility at NIT Trichy:
• Joint Secretary
Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Association (MMEA)
• Treasurer
Colossus Toastmasters Club
• Media Manager
Festember Media Relations Team (South India’s largest cultural fest)
• Speakers’ Liaison
TEDx NIT Trichy
These roles strengthened my leadership, communication, teamwork, and organisational skills. I contributed to major college initiatives—marketing, sponsorships, donation drives, and community outreach.
I received the Academic Excellence Award – 2022from Honorable Justice M. S. Ramesh for securing District 3rd Rank and School 1st Rank (CBSE).
QMIS has truly been the foundation on which I built my aspirations, confidence, and character. The values and experiences I gained there continue to guide me every day.

"QMIS is one of the most prestigious institutions in Madurai, and I feel grateful to have been a part of it. The school instilled in me values that continue to guide my life even today-kindness, modesty, honesty, equality, and above all, a grounded sense of purpose. What makes QMIS unique is its vision to nurture a growth mindset in every learner-encouraging us to learn, unlearn, and emerge as confident change-makers. This focus on holistic development set QMIS apart from other schools.
One of my fondest memories from school was the QMIS Sports League, which included basketball, football, and many competitive events. When the league was first introduced, it brought an incredible level of excitement among students. It came at the perfect time-right after exams-allowing us to release stress, enjoy, compete, and learn the true essence of sportsmanship. Very few schools offered such opportunities. QMIS has always been deeply committed to students' mental and physical well-being, and this is why it excels not only in academics, but also in sports.
My school played a pivotal role in moulding me into the person I am today. It helped me grow with humility, positivity, and confidence. More importantly, QMIS taught me decision-making-how to differentiate right from wrong, and how to stand by informed choices. The school encouraged independent thinking, individuality, and the courage to question, which are critical qualities in today's information-driven world. It empowered us to identify credible information, think critically, and stay aware of our surroundings.
I am truly thankful to QMIS for shaping my character, strengthening my values, and preparing me to fit meaningfully into society. The school remains committed to its vision of nurturing the leaders of tomorrow, and I am proud to say that I am one among them.

This is Shrijah. I did my schooling at Queen Mira International School from 2011 to 2019. I stepped into QMIS as a shy and withdrawn Grade 5 student and walked out in Grade 12 as the school topper—wearing many hats as a singer, writer, student council member, and more.
I owe every bit of this transformation to my school and to the teachers who gave me countless opportunities to discover my talents, sharpen my skills, and overcome my stage fear. I wouldn’t say my journey was completely stress-free, but every time I struggled with anxiety or pressure, the staff guided me with patience and wisdom, always steering me in the right direction.
Today, I have completed my Medicine degree and am preparing for my Post-Graduation with clarity and confidence—the very seeds of which were sown at QMIS. When I look back, the school stands as a treasure chest of memories I cherish with immense pride. The influence of QMIS did not stop with my Grade 12 graduation; it still shapes my life and my decisions, as it does for so many of its students.
To put it simply: I wasn’t exceptionally good at anything when I began, but QMIS taught me that consistent effort and dedication can lead anyone to their desired goals. That has been the greatest lesson of my life.

My journey at QMIS continues to remain one of the most meaningful chapters of my life. QMIS has never been just a place of learning for me—it has been a foundation where my character was shaped and my ambitions were encouraged.
What makes my school truly special is the long-lasting bond it creates with its students. Even today, I feel welcomed, remembered, and valued whenever I visit. That feeling of belonging speaks volumes about the culture and heart of QMIS.

QMIS provides an amazing and safe environment for the children. It is here I have identified my own talents and started following my dreams. It's the friendly approach of faculties and the Management, that makes every student to have belief in themselves and make them soar high in life. Even after 7 years of my graduation, my association with QMIS still continues. That's the kind of long lasting relationship and impression that the school creates in every learner.

I had 12 years of association with QMIS and it’s more like my second family. My association with the staff and the Management continues even now. Queen Mira has empowered me to lead my life independently, to make my own decisions, to be proactive, and to be organized. School has given me enormous opportunities to evolve as a leader by pushing me out of my comfort zone. My school and my faculty are the biggest support system upon whom I can rely at any time and without them I wouldn’t have been what I am today.
